Now for the goodies here on The Reflectionary. Below is a set of original liturgy resources based on this week’s readings from the RCL, although you could use them at any time. You can find other resources for this week’s readings (including the awesome ‘Corby and the Rattleworm’) here:

Third Sunday after Epiphany

Psalm 19, Luke 4:14-21, 1 Corinthians 12:12-31

Confession and Absolution

The law of the Lord and perfect, reviving the soul;
but we have seen your law as a burden.
Forgive us, Lord,
save us and help us.

The testimony of the Lord is trustworthy, making wise the simple;
but we have followed our own wisdom.
Forgive us, Lord,
save us and help us.

The commandment of the Lord is radiant, giving light to the eyes;
but we have chosen to look away.
Forgive us, Lord,
save us and help us.

Lord God, whose judgements are true and altogether righteous,
have mercy upon us, pardon and forgive us
and grant that the words of our mouths and the meditations of our hearts
be always acceptable in your sight,
O Lord, our strength and our redeemer.
Amen.

Blessing and Dismissal

Go, as members of the body of Christ,
to bring good news to the poor,
to release the captives,
and to proclaim the favour of the Lord;
and may God, who strengthens and equips us for every good work,
be with us this day and forever.
Amen.
