Confession and Absolution

St Paul to the Philippians said, “Live your life in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ.”
Lord, we confess that we have not lived lives worthy of you.
Forgive us when we have failed to love our neighbours.
Forgive us, good Lord.
Forgive us when we have lived as though we do not know you.
Forgive us, good Lord.
Forgive us when we have valued our homes on earth more than our home in heaven.
Forgive us, good Lord.

The Lord is gracious and merciful, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love.
The Lord forgives all who truly repent.
The Lord is good.
Thank you, good Lord, for renewing and redeeming your children.
Grant us strength to do your will and to live lives worthy of the gospel of Christ.
Thank you, good Lord.
Amen.

Blessing and Dismissal

May you see God and his strength
and may you be continually is his presence.
May you remember the wonderful works he has done
and may you glory in his holy name.
May you seek the Lord
and may your hearts rejoice in him.
And the blessing of God …

Go into the world to make known his deeds among the peoples,
to keep his statutes and tell of all his wonderful works.
In the strength that God provides,
Amen.
