Foxglove in our local park. Growing under the shade of the trees, it stretched itself outwards and eventually swept into a gracious curve seeking the sunlight. It makes a good life lesson for 2022, a year of many troubles and shadows. Don’t give up, keep on seeking the light.
Just to accentuate the lesson, a bumble bee kept persistently exploring the flower bells, seeking out nectar and pollen. Bees work so hard to gather their share of the bounty: they never give up.
I happened to be passing by- I’d decided to walk round the park (I’m trying to regain my ability to walk a decent distance). To be honest, I was quite glad of the foxglove and wildlife! A perfect opportunity to rest, and observe the beauty that the park provides. There were other photos taken that morning, but this one spoke most clearly to me. Seek and find. Go on looking, invest some time and effort- and there is a reward.
Jesus taught this as a principle of faith. Perhaps this makes a good lesson for 2023 as well… Never give up on the Light.
“Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened."
