Names of Jesus Christingle / Bauble

This is a super craft for adults and children alike – great for Bible study groups, schools, churches and families to make in the run up to Christmas. The decorations feature names of Jesus with Bible verses, chosen from the gospels, Isaiah, Revelation and more.

You can either make the Christingle version, complete with candle and ‘flame’, or create a whole set of Christmas baubles in whatever colour scheme you like. Each can either hang on a tree or stand on a shelf.

There’s a make-along video (woo-hoo!) and downloadable PDF below.

It’s a perfect give-away, with instructions included and everything you need easily available at home. There are 24 names to choose from, and each bauble needs 4 to 12 of them. You can make a simple version with 4, great for younger children, or add more sections if you are a little more adept.

Here’s a preview of the downloadable 6-page PDF. (Link below.)

You could make a themed ‘I am’ bauble from the Gospel of John, or focus on the names of Jesus in Isaiah. You could even use these for personal devotions, meditating on a different name each day through Advent.

If you find these resources useful, please consider making a regular or one-off donation. Just £2 a month buys me a commentary in a year, (but due to high Paypal fees, it’s better to do it as £24 a year). A single donation of £15 buys half a tank of fuel for the school run, or £45 covers my web hosting for these resources.
