Liturgy for Proper 27

Psalm 145:1-5, 17-21, 2 Thessalonians 2:1-5, 13-17

Confession and Absolution

The Lord is righteous in all his ways
and faithful in all he does.
Lord, have mercy.
Lord, have mercy.

The Lord is near to all who call on him,
to all who call on him in truth.
Lord, have mercy.
Lord, have mercy.

He fulfils the desires of those who honour him,
he hears their cry and saves them.
Lord, have mercy.
Lord, have mercy.
May the Lord, who watches over all who love him,
forgive and revive us,
redeem and uphold us,
restore and deliver us
for the sake of his son, our saviour, Jesus Christ.
Amen.

Blessing and Dismissal

And now, may our Lord Jesus Christ himself,
and the Spirit of Grace,
and God our Father,
who loved us and through grace gave us
a good hope and comfort for eternity,
encourage you, comfort your heart
and strengthen you in every good thing you do and say,
this day and for ever.
Amen.

Go into the world to live and love
as those chosen by God.
In the name of Christ. Amen.
