Cardboard box 1: Girl 0

Unboxing (and humiliation)

My new books have arrived and boy, were they well packaged!

Grab a mug of hot beverage and watch me struggle to open a simple cardboard box. I have speeded up (6x) the most humiliating part where I struggle for nearly a minute to get a box out of a box.

Cardboard box 1 : Girl 0

(Although I was victorious on the penalty shoot-out.)

To quote the inimitable Mr Bennett, “For what do we live, but to make sport for our neighbours?” (That’s from Pride and Prejudice, 1813, ch 57)

So, enjoy the sport and I hope you are, like Lizzie, “excessively diverted”.

The official launch is very soon, but folks at college were asking to buy before half term so I had a little sneak peak bookstall at college (Ripon College Cuddesdon) Here’s a pic of the setup. Note the snazzy little card reader bottom left – oh yes, get me!

Top right is the Nativity-to-Go series. Top left is the very popular Walking to Bethlehem – based on the 25 Advent readings I made for my kids and which we still hang up each year ❤ The new 40 Days is front and centre, with the original 40 Days to the left.

In the background you can see the feet of a (rather terrifying) portrait of former college principal, Robert Runcie.

The whole range of books is available at Amazon as well as Blackwells, Waterstones, Eden. (NB: buying book via the Amazon link might – might – earn me an absolutely miniscule commision.)

Just in case you haven’t had your fill, more photos of me trying to open a box and failing miserably.
