Easter Round-Up

It’s nearly the Easter hols! Yay! To celebrate, here is a selection of useful links from all over the place.  (This is a re-post from last year, so please do let me know if any of the links have broken since then. Ty xx)

There’s a printable and video for how to make your own palm crosses – a great activity for young and old – crafts, cooking, scripts, printables and videos.

Also, it’s come to my attention the the geek-fest that is Calculating the Date of Easter (see right) did not link properly, so I’m linking it again. Click here to download the PDF.

You could challenge your clergy to zip through it without cheating (as if!!) and see if they can beat the yoof group. Or have it as a bonus challenge at an Easter event – anyone who get it right wins a creme egg.

Or use it to burn off the extra calories from all that chocolate! Honestly. You know your brain consumes 20% of total energy, right? Well, that comes to about 17 kCal per hour resting; a bit more it you’re thinking hard. And one square of chocolate is about 20 kCal soooo… you can legitimately treat yourself to a least a couple of chocolate buttons when you complete the flowchart, with no extra inches on the waistline. Sorted!

This gorgeous Sunset / Sunrise craft is from my book of intergenerational resources, ‘Broken Bits and Weirdness’. Links on the right to buy from Amazon (affiliate link), or you can purchase from Eden, Waterstones etc. (NB: I receive about 5% royalties on most sales. At Amazon it’s 60% less printing costs, so I’d rather you buy from Amazon. And please leave a review)
