Psalm 100 , Philippians 4

My apologies, boys and girls. I have been ill this week and my head’s still a bit woozy. (Don’t worry, this post is entirely virus free.)

So please see this post for all your lovely Harvest stuff, and this post or this post for Remembrance resources.

Your liturgy based on the beautiful Ps 100 and that bit in Phil. 4 is below, and with that I’m going to lie down on the sofa again. Good night. xx

Addendum: Added Monday – here’s a link to Does God respond to nagging from Ian Paul.  (The link is from Ian Paul, not that Ian Paul is nagging God, you understand.)

Liturgy for Proper 24

Psalm 100 , Philippians 4:4-9

Confession and Absolution

Whatever is true, whatever is honourable:
Lord God, we confess that we have not always spoken in truth and honour.
Forgive us and help us.

Whatever is just, whatever is pure:
Lord God, we confess that we have not always acted in justice and purity.
Forgive us and help us.

Whatever is pleasing, whatever is commendable:
Lord God, we confess that our thoughts have not always been pleasing and commendable.
Forgive us and help us.

Whatever is excellence and praiseworthy, set your mind on such things:
Lord God, so fill our minds with thoughts of you
that we overflow in grace and goodness.
Amen.

May our God, who is good and whose steadfast love endures forever,
Revive and retore us in his image
and strengthen us to proclaim his faithfulness to all generations.
Amen.

Blessing and Dismissal

May the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding,
be up on you, and you, and you.
May God’s grace and mercy guard your heart,
in love and love and love.
May your mind be filled with Christ Jesus,
and peace and peace and peace.

Go in God’s strength,
to live and work to his praise and glory.
Amen.
