Retired, married to Juliet, and a Christian who loves books, writing, music, nature, gardening, and photography. I'm exploring prayer and spirituality, using my photos to reflect on God and how faith fits into real life: and I hope to stimulate and encourage others to meet with Jesus. Health really matters- and you value it most when there is a risk of losing it! I was unexpectedly diagnosed with colonic cancer, and had successful surgery late in 2019. Love the NHS, God bless them). I am still living with a life-changing condition of fibromyalgia and trying to support others with this illness and other "invisible illnesses." Life has been changed but hope burns eternal. Faith has a deep relevance in good times and tough ones, in sickness and in health. God has been good in my life and has been with me in all these varied experiences.

Complex ideas and cultural references- the civil rights movement, assassination of JFK – have left musicologists grasping vainly to understand Dylan’s art. Some “explain” one or two verses- but I don’t think anyone other than Dylan understands the whole song! … More Words, words- Look, See, Pray

Jesus taught by using stories- and often puzzled those listening! Then the motley crew of disciples spent their lives sharing the message: the four Gospels represent Jesus from different perspectives, interpreting history through their own understanding. Essentially, we do the same- we say it “as we see it” and with as much integrity and maturity we possess. At the very least, let’s try and mark our “art” with attractive and non-boring pictures: if we make people think and react, we’ve done our job! … More As You See It- Look, See, Pray
The photo has taken a while to appear: it was taken through a window, using a looooong telephoto lens, and it required some special processing to make the quality acceptable. This pic won’t win prizes, but ANY photo of such a rare visitor will be treasured. … More Rare- Look, See, Pray
Marvellous construction: the spider has wrapped three rose leaves with layers of web-silk, thus protecting the interior space where she laid her eggs. That’s the creamy-white blob centre right. Concealed within that silken shell are hundreds of spiderlings, and when you watch closely they run around reacting to the risk level. Quite fascinating! … More Crèche- Look, See, Pray

I’d love to report that the Sea Eagles came to visit Bognor today. Or that fox cubs were doing gymnastics on the lawn. I’d settle for a few pics of the field mice who pop in to scurry after scraps from the bird feeder. Alas, no show. … More Shades of Purple- Look, See, Pray
