Sitting on a mountain and just looking is brilliant for putting life into perspective. Stretching out in front of me: the Wilderkaiserberge in Austria, splendidly severe peaks with rich woods and pasture on the lower slopes. Words were surplus to requirement. Sheer beauty conveyed peaceful joy.
A photograph is seriously second-best! But it may be enough to allow your spirit to take a breath and so cause the world’s problems to be less testing. Try it for yourself, with this simple meditation from Psalm 121.
