For your party, how about some Pentecost Flame hats? Perfect for Messy Church, Sunday school, school and youth work.

And don’t forget out super-duper Pentecost round up last week. click here ICYMI

Or how about the very latest resource, Pentecost Windmills? Use this fun craft to demonstrate the link between wind, breath and spirit (all the same word in both Hebrew and Greek) and the power that the Spirit provides. And a nice link with green energy too!

The PDF has three templates and full instructions. You can make the version with a Acts 2:21 on the wings, or the version with Spirt / Breath / Wind / Power, or there is a plain version if that is more helpful. Click here to download the PDF

Liturgy for Pentecost

Ezekiel 37:1-14, Acts 2:1-21, Romans 8:22-27

Confession and Absolution

In these last days, God declares, I will pour out my Spirit upon all flesh;
And everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.

Lord Spirit, come upon us now, for we have sinned;
And everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.

Lord Spirit, come upon us in fire, for we need your cleansing;
And everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.

Lord Spirit, come upon us in power, for we need your strength;
And everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.

May the Lord of all mercy, who is Father, Son and Spirit,
forgive, restore and revive us, and fill us with his Spirit of grace and power.
Amen.

God declares, I will pour out my Spirit upon all flesh
before the coming of the great and glorious day of the Lord;
And everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.

OR

Come from the four winds, O Breath,
and breathe upon these slain, that they may live.

Our bones are dried up, and our hope is lost;
We are cut off and destroyed.

I will bring you up from your graves, O my people;
I will put my spirit within you, and you shall live.

For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord
shall be saved.

Then you will know that I the Lord have spoken,
and I have done it, declares the Lord.

Upon my servants, both men and women,
will I pour out my Spirit in those days.

May God, who is Father, Son and Spirit,
have mercy upon us,
forgive us all our sins,
and fill us, that we may live.
Amen.

Blessing and Dismissal

May you be filled with hope;
may you wait with patience endurance.
May the Spirit help you in your weakness;
may she intercede for you.
May you know the hope in which you were saved
and your heavenly adoption.
and the blessing …

Go in the strength of God who searches your heart,
to take his love to a groaning creation.

Amen. We go.
