Confession and Absolution
Father God,
we present to you, as our living sacrifice, the body that is your church:
individually and as members of one body,
we confess that we have not always been transformed by the renewing of our minds,
Father, forgive us,
Save us and help us.
We have not always discerned your will, what is good and acceptable and perfect,
Father, forgive us,
Save us and help us.
We have not always used the gifts you have given to each of us,
Father, forgive us,
Save us and help us.
May the God of all mercies, so cleanse us from our sin and renew us in his image
that we, who are many, may be one body in Christ Jesus our Lord,
through whom we receive forgiveness
to his praise and glory.
Amen.
Blessing and Dismissal
You that seek the Lord,
may the Lord make your wilderness like Eden,
your desert like the garden of the Lord.
May joy and gladness be found in you,
thanksgiving and a voice raised in song.
May God’s justice be your light,
and God’s strong arm your hope.
And the blessing of God almighty …
Go, and sing of the ways of the LORD,
for great is the glory of the LORD.
Amen.
