God’s Son of surprises! Look, See, Pray
A sad sabbath silent
no need to be violent
buried, forgotten
left to go rotten-
unless Death learns to die. … More God’s Son of surprises! Look, See, Pray

I’ve developed my forgettory-cum-losing-ability to a high level. “It was in my hand a minute ago!!!” is a wail frequently heard Chez Nous. Combs, keys, USB stick, pen, phone, letter from the doctor, wallet (!)… Almost anything can and does go missing and I am left looking like this squirrel. It’s SO frustrating! … More Lost it! – Look, See, Pray
Standing in the warm and moist air, entranced by hundreds of fluttering jewels dancing about and seeking the sweetness of nectar, it felt a bit like being in the Garden of Eden. … More Hidden Strength- Look, See, Pray
Today, the eternal battle rages between the sea and shore. Immense energies are unleashed when the wave has travelled with the wind at its back- and then hurls itself into an explosion of spray and a boom that shakes the world. … More Cling on- Look, See, Pray
Some love the suet/seed balls, or a stuffed coconut shell. Robins and blackbirds are VERY partial to dried mealworms. Sunflower kernels go like hot cakes. Peanuts (chopped small in nesting season so chicks don’t choke) thrill the tit families, finches and pigeons. Am I thanked? No. Or trusted? Not yet. But while I can help feed them, I choose to do so. That’s reward in itself. … More Feasting Greenfinch- Look, See, Pray
Upstream the river was wilder, steeper, and pest free. I took pictures (wild lupins, a coyote, mountains and a waterfall or three) thus imprinting memories forever on my brain. To this day, 20-ish years later, I can summon the memories any time I wish… … More Living Rivers – Look, See, Pray

Lord God of Icicle and Sun, I would like to avoid the unpleasant parts of life. The storms, the freezing, the gales. But I can’t. Please, therefore, take a Hand in my life; if I must be frozen, make me a sight of beauty. … More Iced – Look, See, Pray
Why not take a little time to rustle through the fading leaves and frozen moments of your past? Think of the people, the places, the actions that make you who you are. Why do you believe what you believe? Why does it still matter? What have you left behind- and need to go back to pick up again? … More Fading Memories- Look, See, Pray
The flower is popping out. The water is a mixture of blue sky reflections with darker transparent patches of shade- the twisted roots and stems can be seen clearly. Varied colours and shapes- purples and greens- of the leaves have an almost random pattern: and we can even see the “waterline” round the leaves where the edges of leaves rest on the water-tension boundary lines. I think this picture would make a challenging jigsaw… … More Putting Pieces Together- Look, See, Pray
