Fourth Sunday after Epiphany
Confession and Absolution
God who is love,
we confess that we have not been patient and kind.
In your mercy forgive us
and fill us with your love.
We have insisted on our own way
and have failed to rejoice in the truth.
In your mercy forgive us
and fill us with your love.
We have not always trusted,
we have not always hoped,
we have not always persevered.
In your mercy forgive us
and fill us with your love.
May the God of all mercy
cleanse us, renew us
and fill us with the knowledge of his eternal love.
Amen.
Blessing and Dismissal
May God, who embodies all that is encompassed by love,
grant us the joy of knowing him more each day,
that we might reflect his glory in the world,
and one day see him face-to-face.
And now may the faith, hope and love
of our triune God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit,
be with each of us and those we love
this day and for ever,
Amen.
